Kevin Rollins

Kevin was a kind, gentle, funny, intelligent and responsible young man. He made us laugh and he had a great laugh. Kevin was an animal lover and spent a lot of time with our dog, Maya. She slept in Kevin’s bed with him at night. Kevin was very thoughtful. He was always willing to give someone a hand when they needed help. He gave the most unique gifts too. I have some wonderful keepsakes from him that I will treasure forever.
Kevin struggled silently for a long time. He did not let on that he was fighting the insidious disease of addiction. We, as his family, didn’t become aware of it until 2016 when Kevin’s addiction became unmanageable for him, and his legal problems began. When Kevin went to rehab, he was looked up to by the others and was placed in a position of responsibility each place he went. When he came home, though, after a few months, something would trigger his need for drugs which complicated his legal problems more. Ultimately, the temptation of “one last time”, was, in fact, the last time Kevin did drugs.
I miss Kevin’s bright smile and warm presence. He was very easy going and laid back. I still expect Kevin to come walking through the door or think of something that I need to ask him or share with him. It’s heartbreaking when I come back to the reality that I have only my thoughts and pictures of Kevin. I talk to Kevin often to let him know that he is always on my mind.
He was an angel here on earth and now he is my angel in Heaven. I love Kevin so much and miss him every single day.
