Nicholas always suffered with his own identity. He didn’t feel that he was was good enough.  I always told him that I just wish he could see who I see: this smart, funny,  loving, handsome young man. 

At 13 years old, Nicholas lost his father who he was very, very close to.  He never seemed to get over losing his father.  At 17 years old, Nicholas got involve with drugs. He went through thirteen treatment centers: both long-term and short-term.  Nicholas overdosed five times before he passed.  He was never able to stay clean more than 6 months at a time. 

I miss Nicholas so much from the core of my soul.
