Raymond Soganics
July 25, 1991 - May 6, 2022
Raymond struggled with addiction for some time. He attended several treatment programs with periods of sobriety after each one; however, relapse continued to occur.
Raymond and his girlfriend had a beautiful healthy baby girl on 9/4/2020. He was working two jobs to support his new family. Things were difficult – finances, stress of a relationship with a new baby, etc. Ray was offered a position with Ford and things were looking up. He relapsed again and again until finally on 5/6/22 I got the call that he was gone. Ray’s baby was 20 months at the time.
Ray was a loving and wonderful father. He was funny and kind. He would do anything to help a friend, a stranger, feed the homeless, you name it. The toxicology report identified cocaine and fentanyl at twice the lethal dose.
I miss everything about him!!! His laugh, smile, zest for life, his drive and perseverance and even his stubbornness. I miss watching him with his little girl and the love and tenderness he gave her. I know this wasn’t intentional. I miss the future he was building. Ray had plans, aspirations and goals.
