Vaughn Borrelli
July 21, 1990 - July 17, 2015
Vaughn passed away on July 17, 2015. It was four days before his 25th birthday.
Vaugh was the most compassionate person that I ever known. He was always helping others. Vaughn was full of energy and his smile was infectious. He had the gift of being mechanically inclined and could fix anything.
When Vaughn was in high school, he had several surgeries. After each surgery, he was prescribed oxycodone. That was the start of his addiction. Vaughn hated what he was doing to his family and to himself. The son that I knew was disappearing and the drugs were taking him over. As his mother, I hated having to make tough choices and to watch my son suffer.
I miss my son terribly and love him very much. I thank him every day for being in my life. He taught me so much and is still teaching me.
